Samosa Chaat Pizza
Who doesn't love a good samosa, chaat or a samosa chaat. The ultimate South Asian street food that everyone craves and loves. I'm here to share my newest fusion Samosa Chaat Pizza. As a busy mom of 4 (here's my life update plugin that we grew our family by one more), and constantly trying to hide veggies into my kids food, this right here was a success!
I have a list of street style recipes of samosas and chaats and it was only a matter of time to add this fusion dish in. I mean who doesn't love a pizza night all ages can enjoy with no fuss?!
For reference I'll leave links to my popular samosas, chutneys and chaat recipes below:
Now for the recipe you're all here for: Samosa Chaat Pizza. I use a store bought crust and prefer using Banza pizza crusts. The plus is it's made from chickpea so it gives the chickpea flavor from chaat. But you can easily make your own pizza crust if desired. Here's my 10 minute dough recipe incase you can't find frozen pizza crust where you are!
Makes two 9.5 inch pizzas
2 Banza or any frozen store bought pizza crusts
Punjabi Aloo Samosa Filling (recipe found here)
1/2 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Tamarind Chutney (recipe found here)
Avocado Cilantro Chutney (recipe found here)
Sweet Yogurt Sauce (recipe found here)
1/4 cup Cilantro (Chopped)
1/2 of a Small Red Onion (Finely Chopped)
1/4 cup Sev (Chickpea Flour Crispy Noodles, Optional)
Preheat oven to broil high setting.
Place your 2 frozen pizza crust (no need to defrost) on a parchment lined baking sheet.
Add your Punjabi Aloo Samosa filling onto your pizza crusts.
Sprinkle with your shredded mozzarella cheese.
Bake on broil for 5 to 7 mins or just until the cheese is bubbly and brown.
Remove your cooked pizzas.
Cut them into 8 slices.
Drizzle with chutneys and yogurt sauce.
Garnish with chopped cilantro, onions, and sev.
Here's a video for all my visual learners!
I hope you give this fusion pizza a try and enjoy it as much as my boys did!
