Ramadan Meal Roundup

Some of my most asked questions this time of year are, what are your favorite Ramadan recipes? Can you please compile a list of your own recipes? Can you tell us which quick and easy recipes of yours we can use to meal prep during this busy, blessed month? Recipes that work for those with young kids who may not be fasting yet, prepped in advance to just assemble or heat before meal times.

Although I find that my Recipe Index is full of recipes that work year round, they are just as great during the blessed month of Ramadan. Here I am with a compiled list of my popular, and fairly easy dishes for you to enjoy. If you haven't already read my post about my Ramadan Prep, you can read it here! My Ramadan Prep post is where I share all my freezer and pantry staples like samosas and chutney's.

I've broken the list down into four categories: Suhoor (breakfast), Iftar (breaking of fast or appetizers), Dinner and Dessert. Growing up we either only did Iftar of a few little snack items or straight dinner. There was never both. We usually opened our fast with dates and water and then straight to a meal or a few small finger foods.

This list is interchangeable to having breakfast for dinner and vice versa and I hope you find it helpful when planning your meals. Also Suhoor and Iftar Boards are a staple in our home. With young kids, sometimes just adding a mix of things to a platter not only helps encourage kids to trying new foods but also allows us to not overeat and fall into a food coma.

So let's get started...
